Photo gallery from an amateur photographer who doesn’t use his camera much anymore — especially since the iPhone 4. There’s always my Flickr account if you want to see my more recent Instagram shots.
Note for future reference: fill-in flash is pretty good for portraits (but it would be even better if the camera took it into account when calculating exposure time); models should avoid red clothes, because it restricts my possibilities for color correction.
Wow, I’m impressed by the number of pictures in this gallery. Granted, there are a couple of doubles that I could spare you, but all in all it’s a pretty good session. I’m getting better.
Nevertheless, it’s time for me to get seriously into photography. I mean, really. I must pick a place by chance (well, preferredly in a safe spot) and not leave before the camera’s memory is full. It’s gonna be exhausting, but it has to yield good results. Right?
Some days I only make about thirty pictures (as opposed to a hundred) and the ratio of good versus lame photographs is more pleasing, and I feel less ashamed when I review and upload them. I really like playing with night photography (which is fortunate considering we’re in winter and the sun still sets outrageously early) and long exposures—something that would require seventy trials per picture if I wasn’t using a digital camera. Look at the colors on this picture:

To the eye, the city hall is pretty much white (yellowish actually). On a picture, it looks like a Disneyland castle. Photography is magic. I’ll have to think of making some portraits there, it should give nice results.
